HISTORICAL CELLOS

 

Born in Valencia, she begins her musical studies at 6. In 2005 she completes the Cello Bachelor Degree in the Aragón High Conservatoire with Ángel Luis Quintana and David Apellániz. In 2008 she finishes a Master of Music in Performance at Trinity College of Music with Natalia Pavlutskaya and David Kenedy. In 2016 she concludes the Bachelor Degree in Baroque Cello with José Manuel Hernández at Madrid Royal Conservatoire of Music. Currently she is studying a Master in baroque cello, viola da gamba and historical interpretation in Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt with Kristin von der Goltz and Heidi Groeger. She has also studied with Jaap ter Linden and Andreas Greger, and has received advise from Bruno Cocset, Richard Egarr, Jesper Christensen, Karl Kaiser, Alberto Martínez, Guillermo Peñalver, Hiro Kurosaki and Josetxu Obregón among others.

Professionally, she has been member of the Spanish National Orchestra (ONE) during five years and has made collaborations with several orchestras like Bayerische Kammerphilharmonie, Bachorkester Mainz, Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid, Ensemble Interrogatio, Nereydas or Enigma Ensemble. During this time, she has shared stage with musicians like Giovanni Antonini, Ton Koopman, Wilbert Hazelzet, Jaap ter Linden, Jean-Christophe Spinosi, Paul McCreesh, Kristin von der Goltz, Eva Maria Pollerus or Michael Schneider. Nowadays, she is part of La Madrileña and founding member of L’Apothéose. Additionally, she has shown great interest in the pedagogical field and she has worked teaching in Professional Conservatoire Martín Tenllado (Málaga), Professional Conservatoire Andrés Segovia (Linares) and Cavatina Music School (Madrid).

In 2005 she wins the Ibercaja Young Musicians Competition and in 2007 was Highly Commended at “The Vivian Joseph Classical Bowed Strings Concerto Competition” (London). Furthermore, in the same year, she won “The Nick Roth Memorial Prize for String Ensemble Playing” for her work as principal cellist of the TCM String Ensemble.
